On 30 July 2026, Warsaw Board Game Club hosted another club evening — and this time the table belonged to Dune: Imperium – Uprising, one of the most anticipated titles in our collection. The players who sat down already knew the original Dune: Imperium, so the evening turned into an immediate test of what exactly Uprising changes in a familiar formula.
The details matter
We care about the components we play with, and this evening proved the point again. We used the full set of player boards, replaced the standard spice tokens with spice sealed in small glass vials, and moved extra sandworms and metal faction soldiers across Arrakis instead of cardboard markers. We invest in details like these on purpose: they turn an abstract engine of mechanics into a story unfolding on the table — and that experience is what brings players back to us.
How the evening went
The game ran for several hours and showed how much Uprising complicates and enriches the balance of power on Arrakis. The fight over spice, the influence of the great factions and everyone’s hidden agenda kept the tension alive until the final scoring. The atmosphere came from more than the rules — it came from the table itself, packed with miniatures and components chosen specifically for evenings like this one.
A question for the community
We would like to hear your view: what do you consider the core mechanic, the form of player interaction and the game type of Dune: Imperium – Uprising? Share your thoughts in the comments — and check your answer against our board game guide.
